This is the list you don’t want your dentist to see. But when your sweet tooth needs satisfying, this is the list you want to keep close at hand. If it has sugar in it, it’s on this list.
Here are some of Niagara’s greatest spots to get your sweet on.
St. Catharines

Chocolates Etc. is a small little store with delicate truffles and chocolates, locally made sorbet, wonderful baked goods and the coffee. Sit inside and play chess while enjoying your snacks or enjoy the patio and live music on the summer weekends.

Lester D’s Reel Diner for a unique, movie-themed dining experience. The milkshakes and staff are amazing there.

Beechwood Doughnuts is already one of the biggest destinations in St. Catharines, and not just for vegans. I’ve eaten doughnuts at some of the most famous places in North America and Beechwood is up there with Doughnut Plant and Dough in NYC, and some flavours beat them.
— Mandi Gould
Every dessert in this place — emphasis on cannoli pie. Actually all of their cannoli, especially the blueberry.
— Amy Bordynuik
13th Street Winery is my go-to place for sour cherry tarts — and butter tarts, of course. Pies are terrific and I always have a few in the freezer. I haven’t made my own pie since I discovered this place.

— Lorraine Simpson
Gelato Village is awesome and they have pumpkin spice and apple pie gelato right now.
— Jane Carnegie
Fort Erie
Waffles & Crepes in Crystal Beach. Hands down, the best crepes and waffles you will ever have. Fresh ingredients, and the design and presentation of each one is amazing, and it tastes as good as it looks. I would highly recommend you take a trip to Crystal Beach. You won’t be disappointed!
